Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet have announced their separation

One of the most romantic love tales in Hollywood has come to an end.

Jason Momoa and Lisa Bonet announced their divorce in a joint statement posted on his verified Instagram account on Wednesday.

"We've all felt the pressure and upheavals that have come with these transformative times... A revolution is taking place, and our family is no exception... we are feeling and developing as a result of the seismic upheavals that are taking place "According to the statement, "As a result, we tell our family news that we are divorcing."

The two allegedly met in a jazz club in 2005, long before Momoa's role as Khal Drogo on "Game of Thrones" made him famous.

Momoa, on the other hand, appears to have had his eye on Bonet, who rose to popularity as Denise Huxtable on "The Cosby Show" in the 1980s.

"Ever since I was like, 8 years old and saw her on TV, I was like, 'Mommy, I want that one,'" Momoa said on "The Late Late Show" with James Corden in 2017. "I'm like, 'I'm going to stalk you for the rest of my life and get you,'" she says.

So when Momoa and his ideal girl first met, he spent no time pursuing her - and it succeeded.

In 2018, Bonet told Porter magazine, "At that moment, love came and it came huge, and he did not flee as I believe a lot of guys do." "He scooped me up and slung me over his shoulder like a caveman!"

In 2007, they had their first child together, Lola. A year later, Nakoa-Wolf was born.

From her previous marriage to actor Lenny Kravitz, Momoa assisted in the raising of Bonet's daughter, actress Zo Kravitz. Kravitz and Momoa got quite close, referring to one other as "brothers."

In 2017, Momoa and Bonet allegedly married.

The pair added in their statement that they disclosed the news of their relationship "not because we believe it's noteworthy, but so that we may go about our lives with dignity and honesty."

"Our love continues to evolve in ways that it desires to be recognized and experienced. We give each other permission to be the people we're learning to be..., "the statement went on to say "Our unshakeable commitment to this holy life and our children. Living the Prayer May Love Prevail teaches our children what is possible."
