The Top 5 Plays from the Celtics-Heat Game

Boston's exquisite ball movement on the game's opening bucket, Marcus Smart stealing and scoring, and Robert Williams rejecting are among the top five plays from Monday's clash between the Celtics and the Heat. Caleb Martin's thunderous jam and Jayson Tatum putting Bam Adebayo on skates before giving a brilliant pass are other highlights.

Celtics Fans: Get Familiar with This Set

Ime Udoka cranked up the same set Inside to break the ice. The Celtics named their best possession from Saturday's 107-97 win over the Pelicans.

Once again, the play was flawless, resulting in an easy bucket near the rim for Robert Williams.

Marcus Smart Jumps the Route

Swing the ball to whoever Marcus Smart is protecting with caution. Tyler Herro doesn't assist Miami's cause either, as he makes no attempt to separate himself from Smart and doesn't approach the ball.

Smart takes advantage of Caleb Martin and Herro's errors to steal the ball, which he converts into a layup on the opposite end.

Robert Williams Denies Tyler Herro at the Rim

First, Williams shifts his attention to Tyler Herro, and he sticks with him on the perimeter admirably, stopping the Kentucky graduate from establishing separation and attempting a three-pointer. Herro next attempts to take Williams off the dribble, but Williams swats his layup from behind. It's very evident how the game will end if you pause it at the nine-second point.

Caleb Martin's Thunderous Throwdown

Bam Adebayo kicks the ball to Caleb Martin, who attacks off the grab with Robert Williams lowering low in case Bam Adebayo drives or throws the ball to Tyler Herro at the post. Williams' inadequate closeout converts the land he granted Martin into a runway. With the Timelord attempting to register another highlight-reel denial, this results in a one-handed jam.

Jayson Tatum Puts Bam Adebayo on Skates, Passes Around Duncan Robinson to Robert Williams

Jayson Tatum receives the ball in a dribble handoff from Jaylen Brown, then passes through a staggered screen set up by Marcus Smart and Robert Williams. Bam Adebayo's move onto Tatum causes the two-time All-Defensive Second Team member to flip his hips many times, throwing him off balance.

Tatum then swats Adebayo's arm away, drops his shoulders, and drives deep into the lane, forcing Duncan Robinson to assist in cutting him off and leaving Robert Williams free beneath the basket. The Timelord takes care of the rest after Tatum sends a bounce pass around Robinson.
