2022 NFL draft: Best available players for Bears on Day 2


After sitting out the first round on Thursday night, the Bears will be incredibly busy for the next 24 hours, starting at 6 p.m. (CT) Friday when the second and third rounds of the selection begin.


The Bears have two second-round picks (Nos. 39 and 48) and one third-round pick (No. 71). They have three picks when the draught ends on Saturday with Rounds 4-7: two in the fifth round (Nos. 148 and 150) and one in the sixth (186).


The Bears are expected to choose 28 different players with their two second-round choices, according to a collection of 20 mock draughts we published on Thursday. Only 25 people are still alive for the second round. Penn State receiver Jahan Dotson was taken by the Commanders at No. 16, Florida cornerback Kaiir Elam was selected by the Bills at No. 23, and Tulsa lineman Tyler Smith was selected by the Cowboys at No. 24.
