Lewis Cine is a tremendous pick for the Vikings to close round one

Football safety for Georgia Lewis Cine became the fifth Dawg selected in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft when the Vikings selected him with the round's last choice.

With the selection of Cine, the Dawgs have set a new record for the most players selected in the first round. It was established at three by the 2018 draught class, but Wyatt changed it to four, and Cine raised it to five.

While Wyatt is a huge bargain in the NFL Draft, Cine might be one of the Vikings' finest choices overall.

Georgia football sees Lewis Cine drafted by the Vikings at 32nd overall in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Cine is a tough, no-nonsense headhunter who isn't frightened of anything. He is a leader in the secondary and an astute football player.

Cine was coachable, and head train Kirby Smart, Will Muschamp, and the other defensive backs coaches showed him how to be effective, and he transformed from an excessively aggressive safety to one of the greatest in college football.

Cine was the first safety off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft, despite analysts predicting he would be the second or third best available.

After producing seven tackles, one tackle for loss, and a pass breakup in the national championship game, Cine was named defensive MVP.

Cine has 145 tackles, 96 of which were solo, 3.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, and 16 pass deflections during his time at Georgia.

Cine wowed the NFL Combine with his blistering speed, clocking a 4.37 40-yard sprint. His interviews, on the other hand, set him apart from the competition.

While the Vikings held the 12th overall selection, they moved down to the 32nd and made a wise decision.

He'll be a great addition to the Vikings' defensive backfield.

Georgia football had a lot of success in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft, and there are still ten players available. While the omission of Nakobe Dean from the first round was surprising, he will be a fantastic second-round pick.

The Georgia Bulldogs are still on course to expand on their record start to the NFL Draft in 2022. Friday morning, watch Dawn of the Dawg for first-round takeaways, comments, and more.
