Dallas Mavericks upgrade lineup in trade for big man Christian Wood

DALLAS (KDAF) — Consider the following lineup for the Dallas Mavericks next season: Luka Doncic, Jalen Brunson, Spencer Dinwiddie, Dwight Powell, and Christian Wood, the newbie big man.

The Mavericks are rumored to have traded a draught selection and four players to the Houston Rockets in order to obtain Doncic and company some much-needed post support in the form of forwarding/center Christian Wood.

The Mavericks will trade the No. 26 selection in the 2022 draught, as well as Boban Marjanovic, Sterling Brown, Trey Burke, and Marquese Chriss, to the Rockets in exchange for the young and promising Wood. It appears that this agreement will not be finalized until the NBA Draft.

The 26-year-old center has five NBA seasons under his belt, having played for the 76ers, Hornets, Bucks, Pelicans, Pistons, and Rockets. Wood averaged over 18 points, 10 rebounds, and over 2 assists per game in Houston during the 2021-22 season.
