Ondrej Palat passes Tyler Johnson in Lightning history in Game 3 win vs. Rangers

For hockey fans, Game 3 between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the New York Rangers was a fantastic event. Tampa Bay found a way to come back after falling down early in the game and stay alive in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Ondrej Palat, on the other hand, established team history that would make Tyler Johnson pleased during the huge win.

Palat's game-winning goal in Sunday night's game was his 10th career game-winner in the playoffs, according to ESPN Stats & Info. Johnson's previous postseason stat line with the Lightning was broken with this performance. So, not only are the Tampa Bay Lightning's playoff chances alive, but Ondrej Palat also created history against the Rangers.

For Ondrej Palat and the Lightning franchise, this is a historic moment. In recent years, the club has been on fire as it attempts to win a third Stanley Cup in a row. Tampa Bay can easily come back in this series if Palat and his teammates can stay focused. Even though they are currently down 2-1, this team has the experience and grit to tie things up in Game 4.

The reigning champions were down 2-0 in the series at one point, including 2-0 in Game 3. The Lightning, on the other hand, rallied in the third period to defeat the Rangers, who had looked terrific throughout the series. It'll be fascinating to see how the next game goes, as it's a make-or-break situation for Tampa Bay.

Keep an eye out for the next battle, which will air on ESPN or ESPN+ on Tuesday night. The Lightning will face the Rangers in an attempt to even the series at 2-2. Ondrej Palat will have another chance to extend his franchise record against New York, so keep a watch on him.
