WATCH: Disney releases the first trailer for ‘Hocus Pocus 2′

(CNN) -- On Tuesday, Disney released the first teaser trailer for the much-awaited film "Hocus Pocus 2."

In Salem, Massachusetts, three witch sisters were awakened from a 300-year slumber in the original 1993 cult blockbuster by the burning of the black flame candle.

When two young girls light the candle, Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reappear as the Sanderson sisters.

On September 30, "Hocus Pocus 2" will begin streaming on Disney+, just in time for Halloween.
