Armando Bacot, a senior forward, is still making history in UNC basketball.
Bacot is now moving up the all-time scoring record, having earlier this season been the team's all-time leader in rebounds and double-doubles. Also, he passed a legend on Saturday.
Bacot eclipsed Michael Jordan on North Carolina's all-time scoring chart during Saturday's game against Duke. He entered the game needing 11 points, and he scored them in the second half. With 1,789 points, he has moved up to 14th place all-time.
Early in the second half, Bacot made two free throws to complete the feat.
After losing the award to Aldones Williams of Wake Forest the previous season, Bacot has improved significantly over the course of four years and is now a contender for the ACC Player of the Year award.
