Juventus will be keen to cement their hold on the second spot when they welcome Cremonese to Turin on Sunday.
If Juventus defeats Cremonese at home on Sunday night, they will have a firm grip on second place in Serie A.
The 15-point deduction against the Bianconeri was reversed last month, which also happened to be the same week that Lazio's performance plummeted. The loss of points by Maurizio Sarri's team on Friday allows Juventus to gain ground in their pursuit of a runner-up finish.
The UEFA Europa League semifinal matchup between Massimiliano Allegri's club and Sevilla in the middle of the week may have an impact on the lineup he chooses for the game. Luckily, Cremonese is not the strongest and can be eliminated with relative ease.
Le Tigri are now ranked 19th, and if they lose this match, they would essentially be demoted. The visitors will enter the Allianz Stadium with their heads held high after defeating Spezia the previous Saturday.
Juventus hasn't been very consistent this year and has been their own worst enemy. Allegri will be looking for more of the same after a team that was not at full strength last weekend upset Atalanta.
A victory would put Juventus four points ahead of Sarri and company and allow them to distance themselves from Atalanta. The Bianconeri will maintain their second-place position even if Inter wins. Seeing as how AC Milan is still struggling, a top-four finish will seem plausible. The Hard Tackle examines the potential lineups and strategies for each side of the game.

With the trip to Sevilla the following week in mind, Massimiliano Allegri is likely to rest some of his star players. Due to an injury sustained during the midweek match, Mattia De Sciglio is now joined on the sidelines by Leonardo Bonucci.
Leandro Paredes is also eligible after serving his ban, while Gleison Bremer is also a candidate since he is anticipated to recover from a thigh injury. Allegri now has choices when it comes to switching up his lineup.
Wojciech Szczesny will start in net for the team in a 3-5-2 configuration. With Daniele Rugani and Danilo in the back three, Sevilla's bane Federico Gatti should start at the back.
Juan Cuadrado and Samuel Iling-Junior will command the wings and be in charge of holding the flanks the night. The two will supply the crosses that Arkadiusz Milik needs in order to have an impact inside the penalty area of the opposing team.
Paredes is anticipated to rejoin the starting lineup, with Fabio Miretti and Nicolo Fagioli serving as his teammates. It will be Miretti's responsibility in particular to advance and assist Moise Kean and Milik. Dusan Vlahovic is expected to be rested, giving Milik the chance to push for a regular starting position.
Probable Lineup (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Rugani, Danilo; Cuadrado, Fagioli, Paredes, Miretti, Iling-Junior; Kean, Milik
US Cremonese
Regarding the relegation battle, Davide Ballardini's team is staring down the barrel of a cannon. A setback on the night might be more or less confirmed if it is combined with poor outcomes elsewhere.
Le Tigri needs to change the course of history in order to defeat Juventus, who they have never defeated in Serie A. In their current situation, safety is far from guaranteed even if they succeed. Cyriel Dessers and Frank Tsadjout are both injured, while Charles Pickel has been suspended.
It's not all bad news, though, as Giacomo Quagliata rejoins the team after serving a two-game suspension. The preferred configuration right now seems to be a 4-3-1-2. The configuration also enables the visitors to switch to a 3-5-2 in order to deal with Juventus' additional player in the center of the pitch.

Cremonese's starting goalkeeper, Marco Carnesecchi, is a lock to start the game. The back four of Leonardo Sernicola, Johan Vasquez, Vlad Chiriches, and Emanuele Valeri will defend him.
Pablo Ignacio Galdames Millan's success at number 10 will be supported by the trio of Soualiho Meite, Michele Castagnetti, and Marco Benassi. The front two will be made up of David Okereke and Daniel Ciofani, who will try to surprise Juventus' defense. A quick start will offer them a decent chance to achieve a successful outcome.
Probable Lineup (4-3-1-2): Carnesecchi; Sernicola, Vasquez, Chiriches, Valeri; Meite, Castagnetti, Benassi; Galdames; Okereke, Ciofani

Juventus 2-0 US Cremonese
The odds are stacked against Cremonese since Juventus is a tough side to defeat at home.
